What a band, one of a kind. Walking passed them on the street you'd never expect them to hold such power with their skill. Great set, though harmonizing at one point was a bit off it didn't matter, still ripped out my heart strings with that last song....
Don't know its title, can't find it anywhere, but it was amazing.... Here it is:
PS. Girls sitting to my left. Did I pay you 16 euros to sing for me?
PSS. So many hipsters SO MANY HIPSTERS. All girls with hair that was supposed to look half-assed but was obviously full-assed. All pattern jumper wearing men, and even a dude, scribbling into his little notepad on the side.
My greatest apologies... It seems we have abandoned you. So here is my attempt to resurrect.
The passed 6 months in Berlin have been AMAZING. This city is one of a kind, its surprises are infinite and there is no slowing down. If you have ever fallen in love with a city from a movie it was probably based on this wild artsy, creative, aspiring town.
But, to the main point of this post, I can throw up praise about this city in another one.
So far I've been to 3 concerts and I'm going to a new one today.
1. Bon Iver
Amazing.... <3
Don't go unless you have
1. a partner, or
2. you're high.
People were just making out everywhere, and if not, starring into each others eyes. Bon Iver has a knack for making people find each others souls. I was like "Jesus, go... go and suck face, suck harder and louder, cause I can't even hear Holocene anymore, just 'smack... shlup... mlahh... mmmm..'"
2. Zeds Dead
HOLY SHIT THESE GUYS WERE AMAZING!!! If you don't know them EDUCATE YOURSELF. Was right next to the stage and the awesome thing was it was their first gig in Berlin ever, tickets were cheap and the crowd was WILD. Have a ton of videos, buuut, I haven't imported any of them.. However if we're friends on Facebook they should be uploaded there somewhere.
3. Bar9
No pictures again... was too wild that if I brought my phone out we would have all died. Do not know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
EITHER WAY...
One thing I love about Berlin is that it doesn't seem to care how famous you are, if your prices are ridiculously over priced, the show will not go on. Thank you Germans and your practicality, because tickets were 10.. fucking.. euros... and if you shared their announcement on Facebook.. It was 50% off... That mean 5 fucking euros... that means 250 php to see one of the voted top 10 dubstep DJ's. What the amaze.
AND TONIGHT...
Know these guys? 16 Euros, and I'm going to bathe in their melody. Tell you about it after ;)
So I finally got my iPhone and will be posting so much more, be prepared.
Just as we'll I just wanted to let you know about my other blogs on Tumblr. I have one just for pretty pictures (like most do) and that's called halucynation.tumblr.com, and just recently I started a film blog since I'm a film graduate. It's simply a spot for you to find out more about a film or if you're looking for a good film to begin with :) that ones called therealhorseinmotion.tumblr.com. So far only has one post since it's fairly new, but I'm getting on it :)
Anyways that was my little update from busy Berlin. Enjoy!
So, for any future adventurers heading to Berlin, this country is obsessed with two things if you don't associate yourself with the street crowd.
1. Trees
2. Health
With all this fresh air and bio-marts in every corner I think I've prolonged my life by 20 years just from my decision to move here from Manila. Though Manila is one of the top cities for me (if your considering all the fun) it also gets you killed faster with the sleepless nights and their reasons for it (whether it be friends, adventures, alcohol, narcotics, joy rides/ronda, and Avicii) and pollution, good old Manila pollution. Yummy :)
As an extra kick to this... health kick I decided to take yoga more seriously as opposed to my very on/off ways before. This is the Iyengar Studio I'm going too now :)
This is the studio inside, grateful of how open it is.
The reason why Iyengar Yoga is primarily because of Kat :) Her mother is an Iyengar Yogi and she got me into it after one class I attended in Manila :) check her out as well! Rina Ortiz, she's a dream among other fantastic things.
Hoping this helps my project "be bangin" bang faster haha
If ever you're in Berlin and wanna join, here's the address and some contact info :)
It's been a couple of weeks since Lucy's left Manila. I am basically posting this to remind the Philippines of its great loss and to make sure that Germany knows what kind of gem of a woman it's currently gained.
Lucia Valeria Fischer. 21 years old. German-Filipina. And mind you, German men (yes, men), she is single ;) But not for long I can imagine.
Here are a few outtakes from a smoldering, sexy, and out right sizzling Luci, from a video she did a while back with Mike Oreta and the rest of Meow Meow Productions.
Needless to say, the video was just stunning. Beautifully made, simple, elegant, AND oozed so much sex appeal I could barely contain myself. Yes, she is my friend. This ridiculously beautiful woman is my friend. Kill me now :))
I couldn't let this wonderful gift to mankind go unnoticed. Hence, you may all thank me later :)
Anyway, enough of my blabbing. Click on the link and I'm sure the video will do all the talking. Catch the full video here: http://vimeo.com/37227752
